I’m back! Life updates & future plans

06.03.21 Entry No. 2

Hello everyone! It’s crazy to think that a year has already flown by. My pseudo-senior year of college has been a strange one because of the pandemic, but I’ve learned a lot and still made some fun memories. I was also able to watch some of my friends graduate :’) I am so proud of them and can’t wait to see what they’ll do next.

Finals week was a whirlwind (an awful one) and everything happened so fast afterward– moving out of my on-campus apartment, saying my goodbyes/see you laters at graduation, and celebrating surviving the hardest year of pharmacy school.

Shortly after moving out, I packed Tito (the name of my sister and I’s car) and made the eight-hour car ride back home. After arriving home and unloading everything, it was time to pack up again for my trip to Cali! I was so excited for this trip, partly because I had been cooped up studying for finals the past couple of weeks and partly because it’ll be the first trip I’ll go on since the pandemic started. I am grateful that I was able to get the vaccine and start returning to some sense of normalcy.

California was quite an unforgettable trip. I loved exploring the beautiful national parks and felt so grateful to see all the incredible views. Of course, it’s not a true road trip if something doesn’t go wrong, so my friend Megan and I got a flat tire in Yosemite with quite the story to tell. We were also able to catch up with friends in Sequoia NP and LA.

After California, and coming home for a couple of days, my family and I went up to Maine for a long weekend. The mess in my room from my constant traveling was definitely piling, but that would be a problem for later. We drove up to Portland, Maine where we stayed for a few nights. Maine was very relaxing, filled with good seafood and calming views. We explored Old Port, tried a famous brewery, and ate our way through lobster and saltwater taffy. We stopped by Ogunquit on the way back home to visit some family friends that we hadn’t seen in so long.

After a much needed couple weeks off and getting my travel bug in, I started my internship and am back home with family.

I plan to update this blog with more travel guides and stories. While The States are improving because of the vaccines, here’s to hoping the whole world will get better soon so we can all travel again.
